Course Overview

This online short course in 5G is made for those who would like to understand 5G technology from an overview perspective. One will get good idea of 5G network applications and uses, network overview and various new approaches to be taken by telecom companies for implementing 5G. 5G wireless, i.e. 5th generation wireless systems or mobile networks, course wraps next major phase of wireless and mobile telecommunications standards ahead of the current 4G/IMT-advanced standards.

Who will benefit  All students who are keen to learn the trending 5G wireless technologies, all engineers, officials, executives, managers, employees from MNCs, regulators, private organizations, telecom operators, vertical industries, telecom investment companies, personnel who are dealing with the planning, developing and implementing 5G networks and MNCs that are committed to edifice their capacity related to wireless 5G.   

You are expected to spend approximately 5-8 hours per week learning the course content. This includes attending fortnightly webinars that run for about 90 minutes to facilitate class discussion and allow you to ask questions. This program has a 65% attendance requirement in the live webinars in order to graduate from the program.Ā  If you are unable to attend the live webinars, you have the option of watching the recording of completed webinars and sending a summary of what you have learnt from the webinar to the Learning Support officer.Ā  The summaries go towards your attendance requirement for the program.

This program is run online on an intensive part-time basis and has been designed to fit around full-time work. It will take three months to complete.
