Updated for January 2023 intakes
Answering the growing demand for engineering micro-credentials, there are now 13 Graduate Certificates offered by EIT.
Graduate certificates are one of our online short courses, comprising of 4 units, and can be completed in just 6 months.
These short qualifications are known as micro-credentials and have become increasingly popular in recent years. Researchers from Edith Cowan University and Flinders University suggest this is because these short courses are able to align themselves closely with industry needs through collaboration, and deliver targeted skills pivotal in the workplace.
Mechanical Engineering: CAD and computational techniques, Chemical, Thermal, and Process Engineering
Civil Engineering: Structural Analysis and Design, Railways Infrastructure
Electrical Engineering: Power Systems engineering
Industrial Automation Engineering: Industrial Instrumentation and Process Control, PLC and SCADA, Safety and Reliability Engineering
These courses cover the areas in high demand by employers and offer skills and knowledge sought after in the workplace.
Graduate Certificates & Increased Employability – Our Past Graduates
Through a Graduate Certificate in Industrial Automation Engineering and Professional Certificate of Competency in Safety Instrumentation Systems for Process Industries with EIT, Renée was able to build transferable skills and build on her existing background in chemical and software engineering, moving on to employment at South32, a global player in the mining industry where multi-skilled engineers can thrive.
