About the presenters:

Diego Robaina

Diego is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in public relations, project management and customer service. Originally from Uruguay, Diego moved to Australia 16 years ago and has since made it his home. Currently, he plays the role of International Recruitment Manager for EIT, focusing on the LATAM region. Diego has been with EIT for more than a year, bringing his expertise and passion for international recruitment to the forefront

Dr. Ana Evangelista

Dr. Evangelista is a Civil Engineer with 20 years of work experience as an academic. She started her career coordinating and teaching units at the School of Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Additionally, she managed the Construction Materials Laboratory, providing external consultancy to the Construction Engineering sector. PhD research was mostly concentrated on non-destructive tests to evaluate concrete structures. Currently, she is a Course Coordinator/Lecturer – Civil Engineering at the Engineering Institute of Technology, working collaboratively with academics and staff, from VET to Doctor of Engineering. Also, she is a member of the Academic Board and coordinator of the Work Integrated Learning program. 

Dr. Karoline Figueiredo

Dr. Karoline is a Civil Engineer and expert in sustainable construction and environmental engineering with a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Her research uses technologies like Digital Twins and Blockchain to minimize the impacts of construction projects. She has held research and teaching roles at institutions worldwide, including UFRJ, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Western Sydney University, and Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Currently a lecturer at EIT, Dr. Karoline is dedicated to preparing students for real-world challenges while advancing sustainability in the built environment.
