Seminar: Technology’s Role in Skill Development
On Day Two (Tuesday 3 September) of the expo, attend a seminar by Christabel Phiri, one of EIT’s Mechanical Engineering Lecturers. Her presentation, “Technology’s Role in Skill Development,” will explore how advancements in technology, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, are enhancing skill development and fostering continuous learning in engineering.
Christabel Phiri has 14 years of academic experience and 5 years in industry. Known for her advanced technical knowledge, she has a solid background in mechanical engineering from Zambia’s copper mines and extensive experience in South Africa as a lecturer and fire sprinkler designer. Since October 2023, she has been a Mechanical Engineering lecturer at EIT, teaching across all mechanical engineering units.
