The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) offers various collaboration opportunities for organizations looking to engage with engineering students and graduates. Through initiatives like the Student Engineer Employment (SEE) program, employers can integrate skilled students into their teams on a flexible basis. Additionally, companies can host internships, hire graduates, participate as industry guest lecturers, or mentor emerging engineers. They can also suggest real-world projects for students, providing practical experience and insights while showcasing the students’ capabilities.

Providing an internship involves providing a structured opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in a professional engineering environment. Interns typically work on specific projects, assist with daily tasks, and gain insights into the industry and organizational operations.
What are the Benefits for You?
Offering a site or office visit for our current engineering students is an exciting opportunity that benefits both your organization and the students. By hosting these visits, you provide students with invaluable firsthand experience and insights into the real-world applications of their studies.
What are the Benefits for You?
Hiring a graduate involves hand-picking a successful graduate to fill a position within your organization.
What are the Benefits for You?
Industry guest lectures are sessions where professionals from various fields of engineering speak to students about their experiences, insights, and expertise. These lectures often bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
What are the Benefits for You?
Become a mentor to inspire and guide the next generation of engineers by sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth.
What are the Benefits for You?
Students acquire valuable perspectives, industry insights, and real-world skills by tackling actual engineering problems through industry-based projects. We are continually expanding our database of student engineering projects to challenge and showcase the capabilities of our students globally. These projects vary from 6-month Bachelor’s and Master’s degree assignments to professional doctoral research (typically over 24 months).
While physical or financial support for equipment is appreciated, it is not a requirement.

“In my role as a graduate electrical engineer at Rio Tinto’s MP&E department, despite my relatively short time here, I’ve already started contributing positively. I’ve been collaborating closely with the Fixed Plant Electrical Network team. Also, I’ve been actively engaged with various engineering disciplines to develop an Asset Management Strategy that will become an official Rio Tinto internal standard document.”
– Adriana Santana Conceicao, EIT Graduate
“I plan to encourage my fellow students to seize opportunities in the engineering field. My experiences with technological advancements and my internship at Coca-Cola Euro Pacific Partners have shown me the practical and professional aspects of mechanical engineering, which I aim to share with my peers to enhance their learning journey.”
– Mike Kemboi, EIT Student
