Inspiring Innovation and Success in Engineering and Technology

Allistair Marihano Clarke is currently pursuing an 52872WA Advanced Diploma of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at EIT, with plans to continue his studies in 2025 by enrolling in the Master of Engineering (Industrial Automation) program. Professionally, he serves as a System Administrator specializing in infrastructure and cybersecurity, while also running his own IT business focused on web development and system automation.

His diverse skill set allows him to tackle complex technical challenges across both his career and academic pursuits. As a 2025 EIT Student Ambassador, Allistair aims to foster a supportive community for students, help them balance academic, professional, and personal commitments, and inspire others to take full advantage of the opportunities EIT offers. Originally from Windhoek, Namibia, Allistair now resides in Swakopmund, where he is driven to excel in his studies and career.

Empowering Leadership Through Engineering and Education

South Africa’s Nozibusiso Bongekile Busisiwe Nkomo is an accomplished professional with over 23 years of experience in equipment maintenance, planning, and asset management. She holds an MBA and completed the 52884WA Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology from EIT in November 2024. She also plans on pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at EIT.

Specializing in maintenance processes, SAP system projects, and shutdown management, she has contributed to industries such as mining and smelting. As a 2025 EIT Student Ambassador, Nozibusiso is dedicated to mentoring and inspiring others.

Her commitment to community development and her strong values of integrity, safety, and professionalism guide both her career and personal life, where she actively supports her children’s growth.

Bridging Industry and Education Through Mentorship

Ranadeb Ranesh Kumar Ray, from India, is a seasoned professional in the Shipping and Maritime Industry, specializing in Technical Ship Management, Port Operations, Equipment Tendering, and Marine Engineering. With over 13 years of experience handling tanker vessels, overseeing operations, purchases, compliance, and crew management, he ensures seamless fleet performance for ship owners.

Ranadeb has completed numerous courses with EIT, including the 52884WA Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Professional Certificate of Competency in Control Valve Sizing, Selection and Maintenance. As a 2025 EIT Student Ambassador, he is committed to fostering a strong learning community, offering mentorship, and guiding students toward academic and professional success. He aims to bridge the gap between industry needs and engineering education, helping students navigate technical subjects and career opportunities.

Leading and Supporting Engineers Through Education and Experience

Gamuchirai Diana Mudyariwa Swartz is an Automation Engineer managing control systems projects in New Zealand. With a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Diana transitioned from an Electronics Intern to specializing in automation. Having worked on numerous mineral and chemical processing projects, she is busy with a Master of Engineering (Industrial Automation) at EIT.

Now preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP) examination, she also contemplates pursuing a Doctor of Engineering degree. As a Student Ambassador, Diana is passionate about supporting fellow engineers by providing guidance, sharing experiences, and offering a safe space for questions.

Her goal is to pay forward the knowledge and mentorship she received, helping others navigate their engineering education and career.

Guiding Future Engineers Through Experience and Leadership

Australia’s Dragan Tisma is currently pursuing the 52888WA Advanced Diploma of Applied Electrical Engineering (Power Industry) with EIT, a program that aligns with his passion for the electrical industry and its pivotal role in modern society.

With a professional background as a Completions Lead in the oil and gas industry, Dragan brings valuable leadership, problem-solving, and technical skills to both his studies and his work.

He plans to further enhance his expertise by pursuing a project management course. As a 2025 EIT Student Ambassador, Dragan aims to guide and inspire fellow students by sharing his experiences, helping others navigate their educational journey, and fostering a strong sense of community within the EIT family.

Inspiring Leadership in Electrical Engineering

Hanane Oudli is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with over ten years of industry experience. She holds a Technical University Degree in Electrical Engineering from Moulay Ismail University, Morocco, and a Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering) from EIT, pending graduation. Hanane also serves as an Electrical Engineering Lecturer.

Recognized for her academic excellence, she has earned multiple prestigious awards, including being named a LinkedIn Top Voice in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, and Systems Design. Hanane aspires to become a licensed Professional Engineer, complete a Doctor of Engineering, and build a successful engineering consulting firm.

As an EIT Student Ambassador, she is dedicated to empowering the next generation of women engineers and promoting inclusivity in STEM.

Inspiring Students Through Leadership and Experience

Sherwin Blanco Rivera holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mindanao State University and a Diploma in IT (Cybersecurity) from Stanley College, West Perth. Currently pursuing a Master of Engineering (Electrical Systems) at EIT, Sherwin aspires to continue his education with a Doctor of Engineering degree.

He works as a Graduate Engineer at Jarrah Solutions in Fremantle, in Western Australia where he specializes in data analysis, network modeling, fault studies, and compliance evaluation.

As a 2025 EIT Student Ambassador, Sherwin aims to support fellow students, especially international ones, by sharing his experiences and offering guidance on balancing academic, work, and personal life. He values the opportunity to expand his leadership skills and professional network while helping others succeed.

Supporting Students Through Leadership and Growth

Sonam Zangmo, originally from Bhutan, completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 2023 before pursuing a Master of Engineering (Electrical Systems) at EIT in Perth, where she is currently in her second year.

As an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer, she is gaining valuable hands-on experience and tackling real-world engineering challenges.

Sonam’s passion for engineering and personal growth led her to become an EIT Student Ambassador. In this role, she aims to foster connections within the academic community, offer support to fellow students, and create a welcoming, encouraging environment.

Sonam values the opportunity to develop her communication skills while giving back to the EIT community that has supported her journey.
